How are local businesses verified?+
We review business profiles and supporting documentation, including license and insurance uploads when provided. Verified badges are awarded after our team completes that review so customers can hire with confidence.
Where is Select The Service available?+
We are launching state by state across the U.S. Florida is live now. Join the waitlist for your state to get notified when we open in your area.
How do payments work?+
You agree on price directly with your service provider. Select The Service connects you — payment terms are between you and the local business.
Can local businesses browse jobs in their area?+
Yes. Sign up as a Business, complete your company profile, and get approved by our team. Then browse jobs matched to your service area and trade.
How do I claim my business on Select The Service?+
Search for your imported listing during business signup or onboarding, or open your listing page and click Claim this business. We auto-fill your profile and our team verifies ownership within 1–2 business days.
Can I browse local pros by category?+
Yes. Use the category filter on the Local Pros page or homepage to find plumbers, electricians, HVAC, flooring, cleaning, and other trades near you.
How do I find vetted service providers in Florida?+
Open Select The Service, choose your Florida city (Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Naples, or another live city), then browse verified businesses or post a free job so matching local companies apply.
How do I hire a licensed contractor in Florida?+
Post your project for free and review applicants who completed our business verification. Look for license and insurance badges on profiles, then message or call to agree on price directly with the company.
Is Select The Service a Florida service booking platform?+
Yes. Select The Service is a Florida-first home services marketplace: homeowners post jobs free; verified local businesses apply in their service area. Other U.S. states are on a waitlist.
